In the days before TV and video games the rainy day activities that busied young people was either reading or drawing. I choose drawing, my brother choose reading. In Grade School and Middle School I was always busy drawing this or that, either for reports or just for fun. As adulthood appeared on the horizon, serious thoughts of education and employment training became more vocal. Marriage, family and an intense interest in geology consumed my time and energies. Now after over forty years of practicing and teaching geology I have renewed my passion for art. Basic drawing classes at ACAD in 2005 began this new journey that has brought me to a U of C art program in 2006 where I’m currently happily wallowing in an eclectic collection of courses, materials and techniques.
I’ve got my paint-box packed, I’m getting my ticket (economy class), I’m ready for the journey; where ever it takes me. Life is Fun.
